Travel west from Ba Tri through Cần Thơ, Châu Đốc, Trà Sư and Hà Tiên before crossing to Phú Quốc for a light final stay.
The journey follows river towns, pilgrimage sites, wetlands and borderland communities across the Delta. Several hotel changes are required, but early starts are kept for the places that need them, such as floating markets and wetland visits.
This is a linear overland route with several hotel changes. Driving is kept visible, early starts are used only where they protect market or wetland timing, and Phú Quốc begins with a free afternoon.
Travel to Ba Tri for Đình Phú Lễ and a locally hosted introduction to hát sắc bùa with people who continue the tradition in the community. A small tasting introduces Phú Lễ rice liquor before a bần-planting activity with a conservation initiative that continues caring for the site.
A light morning allows time around the river or local landscape before travelling to Cần Thơ. Check in and keep the evening easy.
Visit Cái Răng early enough to see real trading activity and discuss how road transport and supermarkets have changed the market. The afternoon follows one local theme such as foodways, neighbourhood life or a working noodle producer.
Travel directly to Châu Đốc without a forced Sa Đéc stop. A short late-afternoon orientation introduces the riverfront and market town.
Visit selected neighbourhood and faith settings connected with Vietnamese, Khmer, Hoa and Cham communities, with local access arranged in advance. At Núi Sam, choose Miếu Bà Chúa Xứ and Lăng Thoại Ngọc Hầu as the two principal sites.
Visit Trà Sư in the morning, then continue west to Hà Tiên on the Gulf of Thailand.
Walk through Hà Tiên’s old town and sites associated with the Mạc family, then continue toward the Gulf before travelling on to Phú Quốc.
Travel by ferry, check in and leave the afternoon free. No compressed island circuit is added after arrival.
Transfer to Phú Quốc airport, or continue with an optional two- or three-night beach extension.
A night in Hà Tiên brings the journey naturally to the Gulf of Thailand.
Finish on Phú Quốc with the coastal stay integrated into the same southern route.
Cái Răng starts early; the Ngã Năm alternative begins at approximately 4:00 a.m.
Hát sắc bùa, community visits and mangrove planting are approached with care and respect for local hosts.
