Route review

Review the Vietnam route before quoting it.

A Vietnam itinerary can look attractive and still be weak as an operating plan. We review the route before pricing so the quote does not lock in avoidable strain.

Sample route review note

This is the type of judgment that should happen before a program is priced and shown as ready.

Example issue

Hanoi–Ha Long–Hue–Hoi An–HCMC in 8 days

The route is recognisable and saleable, but it may be too compressed for senior, alumni, and affinity groups because it creates repeated packing, transfer, airport, and check-in pressure.

Risk

Highlights become logistics

The group may spend too much attention on movement and too little on the experiences that made the route appealing in the first place.

Cleaner alternative

Reduce one move or extend to 10 days

Either remove a destination, simplify the Central Vietnam section, or extend duration so each anchor has enough room to work.

What we pressure-test

The review looks at route logic through the eyes of guests, guides, drivers, hotels, and the travel partner who owns the client relationship.

Timing

Long-haul arrival, first full day, early departures, late check-ins, meal timing, and whether the route gives the group enough space to settle.

Movement

Hotel changes, road days, domestic flights, boat transfers, luggage handling, porterage, and airport margins.

Experience

Meals, walks, markets, heritage sites, local hosts, guide intensity, and free time placed where they support the route rather than fill gaps.

Season

Hoi An, Ha Long, the Mekong, mountain areas, and domestic flights reviewed against weather and contingency logic.

Next step

Send the route before it becomes the quote.

Share the current draft, market, group size, month, duration, and comfort level. We will flag weak transfers, pacing problems, and assumptions that should be settled before pricing.
